A heavy equipment component manufacturer was installing a new 5 stage washer and wanted to reduce energy costs while boosting salt spray performance.
Solution
MetaLube worked closely throughout the design process with the new equipment supplier and the customer to develop a pretreatment process that would meet the increasing performance demands in the customer’s market. By integrating ZirKote 602 into the new metal finishing process, salt spray test results were significantly increased and we reduced the environmental impacts of the new process by eliminating the need for heat and reducing dump cycles .
